Guest Room Makeover, Pillows and Lamps

I have been re-decorating our guest room this spring/summer, one piece at a time.  I already showed you my Ikea Chair Makeover. 

My next project after that was to make new pillow covers.  Here are the pillows:

The yellow body pillow uses fabric I bought to do the curtains (post coming soon!).  The smaller pillow in the front used scraps from the fabric I used to cover the chair and cushions.  Here's a close-up:

The back is just the green polka-dot fabric.  For the front, I just sewed the strips together.  I guess I should be taking pictures of each step, instead of just the finished product...

Anyway, I wanted to use the mustard yellow fabric from the body pillow somewhere else in the room, so I also added a decorative strip to the hanging lamps in the corner:

I have had that green globe lamp since high school; it just happened to match the chair, so we got to keep it a little longer. :)  Anyway, there are no lights in the ceilings in our apartment, so we've made liberal use of hanging lights from Ikea.  Here's a close-up of the fabric strips on those tan lights:
